@unlucky_bacs; Australians collectively sacrificed almost everything and battled hard for several years throughout WW1 and WW2 in their struggle to deliver a better way of life to future generations.

Raising concerns about doing it a little tougher and less sociably for a couple of weeks / months is incredibly short term and self-indulgent thinking.

As for not being able to afford it, well it was our pollies who casualised the workforce to serve business interests so it behoves pollies and business interests to ensure they're not held out to dry. Any failure in that regard will see crime rates and civil disobedience of a kind never before experienced in Australia as deperate people do whatever they deem necessary to remain above ground.
