Personally I prefer not to just ignore the past. Many are still involved including key employees. Yes new management has been here for 3 years (only?) but the major share price depreciation has occurred under its watch. I agree progress has been made, probably still well behind where we thought we were 5 years ago, but no you can't argue that. Management hasn't proven a lot yet, but their job is not yet over. I also agree about the price action, relatively bullish.
