yep that's what he meant, just the metreage left till TD which is from last casing point of 2509m to proposed TD 2826m, 317m left to go.

They can call it off early once they've cleared the 5th zone, should the gas drop off. The cuttings over the shakers should give them a good idea of the change in formation as well.

Note that the E107 (& the Mercur too) is a top-drive rig & these sorts of metreage should easily b achieved on a non-complicated basis. However one needs 2b cautious of any wanted dramas.

IMHO, ENI could resort to drilling the first 100m slowly with heavy mud (i.e. over balanced) to compensate the over-pressure zone which gave them a 'kick' at 2568m in the pilot section. Hope for an update nxt week.
