The Chinese are smart - they build power stations based on their long-term plans knowing full well that "cancel culture" is rife in western democracies allowing the Chinese to laugh all the way.
Power was THE domain of Govts in the past. There was a good reason for this. The greatest Premier this country ever had - Mr Eric Reece - was about Hydro-Industrialisation. There is a message in that except that power needs to be centralised in the hands of the Feds. They need to build power stations and associated infrastructure and never ever have it privatised again giving the likes of Keating a solid kick in the rump. And then provide cheap power to allow industry to thrive in this country! They can use the same process that private enterprise uses to build the power stations except that the "profits" are ploughed back into that industry and not "gouged" and sent to shareholders overseas!
