As the Labor govt hated Howard for being a US Allie this is a strange move?In a boom time tradie`s charge what they like as they realize their is a shortage,they over-charge and if they get the job its a bonus for them.As far as credibility goes or pride in their workmanship,tradie nowadays compared to their peers on the whole could not clean their boots.The reason being not in their job description.As far as making the tradie`s more accountable for their charges ,they could argue what do pollie`s do?Where is their job productivity?After working in the commercial side of building the last 6 yrs they are a protected industry with low productivity outcomes.The old saying the squeaky wheel get the most attention ,is high on their hit list.They get travel site allowance,height allowance,demolition allowances,all in the daily lives in going to a place to work,with many ordinary plebs get NOTHING?Their catch -cry of many people die?They should look in their own backyard first before blaming others.
