Every man and his dog are developing products, happy to address the patent issue if and when they get something to market and at that stage it is inevitable there will be some competing legal claims. Developers don't really care because the royalty is only ever going to be a short slice of the commercial revenue.

IMO that is how BLT should view its HBV program, hardly worthy of a trading halt on this alone. It finds a cure, market cap will be many multiples irrespective of Chinese or anyone else patent ownership.

IMO plenty of hotter trading opportunities out there until more news is released so you can expect the price to drift a little in the interim.

For what it is worth I contacted both Biomics and a Taiwanese major they have very close ties with (as a possible suitor with obvious interest in Biomics) before I bought a chunky amount at 1.4c. I asked and at the time there seemed to be no issues with Benitec ownership of the IP, accepting it as a given.
