Blade, it's so much worse than the shocking hypocrisy around the "housing industry" - just look at how many federal politicians have multiple investment properties - so whats the chance of removing that subsidy?
But the Labor and Greens damnation of all things related to the fossil fuel industry takes hypocrisy and cant to a whole new level.
Both support "the tourism industry" and want to create more "indigenous jobs" by supporting the development of you guessed it - remote "natural attractions" which require a stupendous amount of jet fuel, diesel etc to access .... psst don't mention travels Carbon footprint.
The latest tourist industry extravaganza that Labor has signed up for is the multi billion dollar 2032 Brisbane Olympic games ... with all its massive demands for concrete in hotels, new venues, new transport infrastructure etc etc ... which we are assured will be, as far as possible electric and "use alternative energy sources" and have "carbon offsets" ... BS BS and more BS.
How's Queensland going to pay for all this ... hmmm ... I think they're backing on the mining industry, especially coal and gas to keep the tax dollars rolling in and for the jobs which they supply and the fuel tay supply to the agricultural industry, which alas also uses carbon fuels.
The mining industry is already calling BS !! and has commenced an investment strike. Sooner rather than later, these 2 faced politicians will be call out and end up on the opposition benches or "Labor think tanks".
If Bill Gates thinks gas is necessary as a transition fuel to renewables plus necessary for the long term chemical and fertiliser industries, why don't the Gates sycophants agree with one of their guru idols ??
Send this Fu#kers a message - hypocritical hysteria about climate change (a long term reality) and associated bad ideas will not be tolerated.
Every time Australia closes down a coal mine, an alternative one opens elsewhere ... Pakistan has just declared that natural gas is too expensive and will ramp up domestic coal production 4 fold (aka 400%). Steel plants closed in UK reopen in India. The IOUSA bombs the NORD stream pipeline and helps Europe with its LNG at 6 times the expense. Norway, who was intimately involved in the planning and execution of the NORDS 2 pipeline (See Seymour Hersch) has never earned more for its North Sea oil and gas ... while declaring its divesting from carbon fuel industries and has a large EV domestic fleet ... breath taking hypocrisy and cant.
Wake up Australia - stop selling coal and gas when customers stop buying it and using it - till then maintain export ice and help pay down debts.
