Bad news for some, good for others (small beer I know but it all helps)
In the midst of a heat wave and electricity consumption going through the roof one small gas turbine blows up, not one of ours ( I think!) thus got to be positive for BBP holders.

An explosion at Verve Energy’s Kwinana power station this morning that ripped through a gas turbine has been contained with no workers injured.
Verve spokesman Peter Winner said the blast happened about noon as the small 20MW unit was being started up.
Mr Winner said the cause of the detonation was still being investigated but it would not affect electricity supplies.
He said the company was still working out how much damage had been done to the unit.
The utility’s power station is the biggest in the State and normally produces 900MW of power, enough to light nine million 100 watt globes, according to Verve’s website.
Regular maintenance to the plant has reduced its output to 660MW currently.
