in my view we really shouldn't be picking sides.

the Israeli state has committed appalling atrocities and serious provocations for decades in Gaza and West Bank and do have incited much hatred across the middle eastern nations. the Muslim nations too have been provocative with Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia in particular showing a willingness to crush and kill their own people and other Muslim states without remorse. Hamas and Hezbollah have traditionally been particularly aggressive toward Israel. whether this be racism or just plain belligerence is hard to say. both are backed by Iran.

Hamas has somehow stockpiled thousands of missiles. how this happened without the awareness of Mossad is deeply puzzling. Hamas also has many firearms, well armed men streaming through the previously tightly guarded fence that imprisons Gaza's people is also puzzling. some are suggesting that Mossad turned a blind eye to weapons imports.... this doesn't hold water imo.

over the last year, since the Israeli election and coalition of far right conservatives, the attacks on West Bank homes have become daily occurrences with hundreds of homes destroyed and families made homeless or killed by Israeli forces as they arrest/round up "suspected terrorists". the provocation has increased alarmingly.

certainly Israel has the right to defend its nation. so too do the people of Palestine have the right to defend their people.

imo both sides are in the wrong.
