This is old news. Four corners ran a report a year ago on the industry. From what I have read, the practice is legal - unfortunately if a player doesn’t ship waste to QLD they would be uncompetitive. Bingo is currently campaigning for a landfill levy to be introduced in Qld to end the practice. Should improve the bottom line because it ensures more waste is actually forced through recycling centres or dumped at the NSW sites Bingo has.
