Confirmation bias is a very dangerous thing to have as a share investor.
Arguably the worst bias you can have.
If it's in the negative? And you are wrong? What have you lost? Just a bit of pride and the missed gain on any rebound. No problem. You still have your capital. Another opportunity will come along and you can look at the next stock with a clear head, without all the hidden bias and baggage which almost certainly makes for better investment decisions anyway.
However if your confirmation bias is in the affirmative. And you are wrong? Well then you have a serious problem. Particularly if you continue to chase your belief that "this time it's different".
