Yes, you're right. European occupation of Australia has been devastating to indigenous people and living a nomadic existence is not practical today.
The point I was making was that we have a "more is better" mentality about life these days. I have friends who bemoan the amount of time they're spending working, how stressed they are, don't spend enough time with the kids etc. but they don't seem to get it's all about funding a life style they don't need.
