Share price falls, holders becomes nervous, stop loss triggered, further sell off, vicious circle.
Share price rises, "thing looks better", most wanna be in, more buys, drive price higher, at some points, becomes a bubble.
The stock market is a human participated place, so irrational actions can be expected at any levels, imo.
