There is nothing wrong with the technical solution for the FPSO. Once connected it will do everything expected of it provided it is properly managed. Right now that management is missing.
The economics of marginal fields are such that they will never support robust solutions that can be managed by morons. Yes the system will be able to produce in moderate weather but it will take seamanship to manage it properly. And good management ashore.
I don't see either.
Sorry I am getting p...d off with what i can only call shoddy management.
