I dont agree at all.

If your going to spruik it as hard as he does than put your money where you mouth is and align your interests entirely with shareholders.

Given the choice of a company with the same prospects, SOI and SP - one with directors holding no shares and the other with them holding 5% of SOI - I know which one I would be more likely to invest in (not saying he should buy anywhere near 5%)

And to say that because the purchase will come from his 4CE income makes it a wipe anyway makes no sense.. as he will be receiving it regardless so it would be better to see a small amount of it spent on aligning his interests with ours.

My opinion only and obviously some people differ.
