We've still got our old 1947 Southern Cross diesel engine out in the shed I could lease him for a year or two.
It does take a minute to get cranked up and running at steady revs but then it will go all day and all night no problem.
It's certainly more reliable than all of SA's Eyre Peninsula Wind farms put together have been this frosty becalmed winter.
