TVL intends allowing the put option arising from the recent change in control in lastminute.com Plc to lapse.
Directors consider that it is in the best interests of TVL shareholders to retain TVL’s shareholding in lastminute Australia and to work with lastminute.com and new owner Travelocity to build a larger and more profitable business in this market.
In the 12 months to June 30 2005, lastminute.com Australia generated increases in total transaction values and revenues of 54 percent and 41 percent respectively. Since balance date that trend has accelerated, with the business experiencing a record month in July.
