This whole state of affairs in DRC is a very interesting exercise however. The end result of all this will have an integral bearing on the future prosperity of and investment in African states, not just DRC. No one can deny the relevant govts right to jockey for fair remuneration and other benefits for their state. Stability and consistency in agreements should be the last thing to crumble however. Learning from the past should be the paramount objective for them going forward. Throw in China and you have a situation that would test the hardiest of officialdom. I feel DRC and other states, who will be intently watching these affairs, are at somewhat of a crossroads. So far the positive announcements seem to be holding their ground.
