Most people follow PE, and PE comes from NPAT.... yes, there are those that follow EBITDA, EBIT, EBITA, E, but PE still stands at about 22.
I like Earnings, but I like Net Profits more ... As for shorts - yes, they are having a field day and those that open on Friday at around $9.40-$9.50... I doubt that they will simply cover at $9.30 or so...
I prefer to wait for their shorts to finish and had their run.
If the risk-reward ratio makes sense for you, then take it. Everyone is different.
