I am not the most tech savvy, but I feel new internet businesses now, compared to those commenced 6-8 years ago, have a shorter life span as the "cost of build" is now lower and almost homogenous and "off-the shelf " like. This coupled with the low barriers to entry may be a cause of adversely re-rating these types of stocks. They are not the old industry/bricks and mortar types of businesses such as Sims Metal, Amcor, Brambles et. al. However they do have a future and can be very worthwhile investments.
