Webjet fares are almost always more expensive than going direct....

Webjet fares are almost always more expensive than going direct. I have booked about 10 flights in the past 6 months and every single time Virgin Blue/Jetstar is cheaper. Webjet charge a 6 or 7 dollar booking fee which is the MAJOR source of their revenue - unfortunately, this makes them more expensive.

Webjet think that people will pay higher prices for convenience alone and has worked so far but times just have to get a bit tight for this to change.

Also, once everyone is using tabbed browsing (ie7 comes out early next year) it will be just as easy to compare different carriers in a normal browser. Webjet won't seem so convenient.

Webjet do not show the total price in the initial quote, so most people dont realise they are paying more until they are well into the booking process - something i find borders on deceptive as the others show the total up front.

As for the website itself, i find it frustrating and confusing compared with others - even flightcentre is easier to use.

-Just my opinion. Take with a grain of salt.
