With all due respect, for a software company to release software that is so unfit for purpose that the company feels the need to "freezes the market", it is a pretty serious situation.
For this freeze to have a material impact on sales, I absolutely feel this should be disclosed to market under the continuous disclosure laws.
The company would have known and understood the impact freezing sales would have had on the quarter as a part of any assessment prior to the decision to pursuing that course of action (completely halting sales).
As for my experience, I feel it is irrelevant because I haven't talked about the technology, but I am confident I could hold my own in a technical conversation.
As for the CEO part, I have never run a public company, so I can't compare apples.
