I attended the webinar. It went alright, there was some additional information but if you attended the investor webinar back in November you'll pretty much know the high level details.
Some takeaways are:
- Jayex is putting a lot of effort trying to convince existing customers to switch from their legacy software 'Enlighten' to their new software 'Jayex Connect'. This is because all of the new product features they are creating will only be available on Jayex Connect, and will be potential upsell opportunities as they are developed and released.
- They are also pushing customers to purchase their new Lenovo hardware, so that they can purchase the new features and have them installed remotely at their convenience.
- There was a bit more detail as to the features they are focusing on developing first. Their focus is a bit different from what they said in November, with them focusing on the appointment and communication features first. An interesting one they discussed was providing clinics a backup of their patient bookings and everything on the cloud, so if there is an outage in the clinic, they won't lose everything and overly inconvenience customers.
- The questions that GPs in attendance asked suggested they weren't very clear on the benefits that switching to Jayex Connect would provide them, especially benefits related to having the software in the cloud vs on local hardware.
Unfortunately there was only 14 attendees at most, so that was a bit underwhelming. Hopefully more people see it in the recording they said they will be sharing soon.
Overall though, I think their approach is very sound and their ability to have consistent positive net cash flow will depend on switching the majority of their customers to Jayex Connect.
