Because during a pandemic the focus is on the hotspot and outbreak centers, not on places that have nothing going on.
New York is on top of their situation, now we have potentially three more up and coming New York 2.0's.
It won't be the number of places that dont have issues driving the stock market going forward, it will be if any of these potential hotspots doesnt get managed properly that will impact markets the most.
