SPI June futures traded in a 101 point range last night, with a high of 6016, low of 5915, and a close this morning of 5974, up 29 points, on high (for us) rollover volume of 30,707 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels for the June contract are below. June contract expires tomorrow and will flatline at around 10:30 am to 11 am, so last day of trading of June for me. September contract closed at 5933, up 33 points, so all the 3's... Gaps on June from last night are down at 5969, 5945 and 5940. There are four unfilled gaps from previous days up at 6048, 6127, 6132 and 6183. Next one down from a previous day is at 5759.



Fed Chairman Jerome Powell testified before the Senate banking committee, saying "significant uncertainty remains about the timing and strength of the recovery. Until the public is fully confident that Covid-19 is contained, a full recovery is unlikely". In economic news, surprisingly strong retail sales data for May helped life market sentiment. Retail sales jumped 17.7 pct last month, more than expected. Excluding cars and auto parts, sales increased 12.4 pct, according to the Census Bureau. Industrial production and capacity utilization also improved in May, rebounding from sharp declines in April. DOW up 2.04 pct, SNP up 1.90 pct, and Canada (resource driven), up less, at 1.02 pct. VIX down 2.12 pct to 33.67. Have a nice day.
