Whilst we all deal with conflicting news about conflicts abroad … a good news story.
Bumped into one of the staff from my Mum’s aged care home, coming out of Avalon Beach Woollies Metro with a trolley full of quite beautiful flowers … apparently they give the home all their unsold soon to expire flower bunches a couple of times a week.
Now I know why Mum’s home is always chokkas with good flower arrangements in common rooms and corridor recesses.
Such a nice thing for Woolies Metro to do rather than binning them.
On a different note, later at Woollies Mona Vale, I was looking for some free range eggs for a vege frittata tonight for dinner … there on a shelf somewhat removed from the price tag was a box of organic free range eggs … nice I thought, now where is the price tag … $16.40 for goodness sake … err, no thanks … I reckon if I went back next week the cartons would still be there if buyers were paying attention!
