SPI Futures traded in a 35 point range last night, with a high of 7005, low of 6970, and a close this morning of 7000, bang on the magic number, up 10 points, on volume of 18,342 contracts. One gap above at 7011, and below at 6988, 6982, 6976, 6970 from last night, and 6950 from a previous day. DOW flat, SNP up .17 pct, and Canada (resource driven), up a bit more, at .21 pct. VIX up .93 pct to 15.18 - yes traders, SNP up an the VIX up, bucking the inverse correlation. Have a nice day.



Today in 2017, saw the 70th British Academy Awards (Baftas) award "La La Land" Best Film, Damien Chazelle Best Director, and Casey Affleck and Emma Stone Best Actors. The film grossed $446 million worldwide against a production budget of $30 million. Yes traders, don't get caught up in that La La Land stuff, just stick to the charts, or that "I thought it was going up, or I thought it was going down" loss can grow rather quickly, speaking of which, also today in 2019, the US national debt topped 22 trillion for the first time according to the US Treasury. Yes, folks, that's 12 zero's... Tick, tick, tick, boom.
