SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Shares of Google Inc. moved lower in late trading Wednesday after the Internet search giant posted its quarterly results.
Google shares were last down 2.7% to $487.80. The company posted fourth-quarter net income of $1.03 billion, or $3.29 a share, compared with $733 million, or $2.36 a share, a year ago. Revenue excluding traffic acquisition costs was $2.23 billion, above the expectations of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.
