If the CPI figures are blow out hot this evening, I wonder if Powell will direct Fed Kashkari or Fed Bowman to play the figures down and talk up the prospect of rate cuts in September … worked a treat last night when he did it himself to talk down hot PPI figures lol.

Kashkari and Bowman are due to speak 12 noon and 3pm NYT during Wednesdays trading.
