I was in practice in a tick infested area in Qld and saw numerous cases of tick paralysis , and that crossed my mind as a possibility.

Another rarer thing I saw was high lead blood levels ... normally connected in some way (not ingestion) with the older lead-based paints.

But they're just 2 slight possibilities .. and I hope that everything turns out okay for B52, wife and pup.
