Legal pot means the govnuts get their piece of the pie.
I understand that many people hate it many love it.
The criminalisation of pot seemed like a good moral stand to make but the results have been to encourage the cheaper nastier speed,meth, gbh type rubbish to infest our communities.
Should people take drugs?
What about alcohol, tabacco or even coffee?
I have friends and relatives who have smoked one joint and been basket cases till now and I know some people who have taken pot every day for 40 years and are well rounded individuals, some worth ten plus million and well respected members of the community.
Don't think I'm saying you are right or wrong, just think of the reality and how much money the government spent on the battle against pot and what the results so far have been.

If we have raised our children to understand that life is to short to waste it on being wasted, that's all we can do.
They write their own book anyway.
