Markets brutally punished earnings misses and negative guidance in big tech … Google for in the AI space and Texas Instruments in the chip space and for its bleak guidance on China … the DOW at -0.32% was spared the -1.43% on S&P and -2.43% on NAS because Microsoft outperformed, particularly in the AI space.
Bond yields rose strongly over the session to nudge 5% again.
Meta (FaceBook) reported after the close and is up 3% in after market trade for a a strong earnings beat.
