Is it just me or is everyone else shorting this bounce?
Seems like many of us are feeling rather bearish. Hopefully for those involved, we get it right.
The FED is openly concerned about the potential of a rising $US. Seems somewhat strange since they have been on a non-stop campaign of printing money yet at the same time watching the USD loose its relative value for so many years.
The USD has been on a clear down trend, yet the FED is worried about it gaining strength? They obviously know more than we do. As usual with 'entities' like the US Federal Reserve, you never know whether or not it's just a case of disinformation. As we know a strong USD means weak everything else pretty much (although some would suggest Gold could still 'shine' in this environment).
It's a tough decision choosing whether to be a bull or bear, especially in today's environment. Are we in a bull market now? Are we in a bear market? It depends on which time frame you look at it from. A case could be made for both sides.
Why do bullish/bearish sentiment indicators work so well? Because humans have an uncanny ability to get wrong? Maybe. Probably because the market is designed to take as much money away from the 'average player' as possible.
I often read about the equity trading records of Goldman Sachs, showing an uncanny ability to turn multi-million dollar profits every trading day without a single day of losses for weeks or months at a time!?
Those algorithms clearly have a unfair advantage, one which results in the public giving away their money to the bankers in a fool proof or 'rigged' manner. And when times get tough, the Government will step in to back their good friends at the likes of Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan at the expense of all of the citizens of that nation (US).
POMO is loosing its strength. That cannot be a good sign. The FED is now clearly attempting to inflate the economy yet the results of their effort are starting to show a diminishing return.
