Yep - they bring liquidity - but the question is - do we need it ? When mkts move on proper info rather than just algorithms - well there will be plenty of volume !
I have a broker who will not let me cancel more than twice of any order I have placed - ASX rules apparently ! Why are the brokers prop trades different ?
These flash orders are just wrong !!!!! SIMPLE AS THAT !!! They help no one but the originator - especially if they want to affect the price of the said stock ! The ASX knows this, I know this, and most people know this ! As long as stocks are going up - it is not a problem - more commission for everyone ! As soon as the mkt turns down - everyone will complain ! But this is why we have bubbles - true price determination is not being achieved !!
