Hotcopper is a fantastic place for the expression of ideas on the stock market and associated issues, contributed mostly by smaller players.

i have no doubt at all that the big boys in town, the money makers, the ones who run the funds ... don't pay too much (if any) attention to what is said on this site. I think i've only ever heard this site referred to by a broker or report once and it was just a passing mention.

but as the disclaimer says, this site is NOT for advice, its not for anything other than for its participants to share their ideas. certainly i don't think there's any regular pacticipants here who have the clout to affect a market on their own ... nor would they be persuasive enough to affect the market by third party means (people doing what they suggest).

just my opinion of course
