Hi Robbbb,

If the market continues to be trading range - wouldn't the mums and dads suffered especially those with managed funds.

I can't see how the fund managers would be able to make money unless they actively manage their portfolios.

It would also seem to suggest that the best alternative would be to put into one involving cash and bonds in order to preserve capital. The current bear market has certainly "devastated" a lot of retirees accounts.
