Zzup, having a bearish view isn't being negative or less happy in life.
The market goes up, and it goes down. The idea is to be on the right side. It is suppose to be a free market, the capitalist would say.
In a bear market, your view should be one of lower prices. That doesn't mean you are a sad or negative person.
It's not about being optimistic or pessimistic, it's about being realistic.
For too long, those with bearish views have been regarded as doomsayers etc.
We have been conditioned to want and appreciate an inflationary environment. This way, stocks go up and everyone is 'happy' as you say.
In reality, these cycles of inflation and deflation come and go. Instead of trying to be politically correct, we should see the picture as it has been painted, in RED.
