Here's a couple of decennial averages for the local market.
The prices are based just on the month end close.
The first chart is from just 1983 as that is all the exact data I have. It called for a March close as the high for the year, and is correct so far, and then a lower high with the August close, but September has been higher.
The second is based on less reliable figures but back to 1875 and suggests a October close for the yearly high.
Of course they are just averages.![]()
