more to the point, if coal and iron takes a beating because of the climate movement, we have nothing to replace it with, and mounting debt will be the result. high strength lightweight alloys might replace steel - so maybe aluminium will step up to the plate (pun intended). increased dependency on copper perhaps.
Australia is not overly insistent with China and India on climate change because of this hypocrisy. Yet in their own way, India has made further inroads with hydrogen and natgas than most. Who knows what China will end up doing, or even if climategate reaches puberty.
I doubt there will be any money left in the Australia fund by the time we need to draw on it. Anyhow, I'll get down off my box for now.
