Super-ATMs bring back banking to bush.
by Jarrod Lucas
Norseman will be the first Goldfields branch
to install a " bank in a box " ATM after the
ASX- listed lender yesterday announced a
three year , $15 million cash convenience agreement with
financial technology company Stargroup.
The installation early next month will be followed by a further roll-out
into strategic regional locations.
Stargroup's ATM Recycler machines are designed
to service customers in remote locations
where major banks have withdrawn banking services.
They perform more functions than a regular ATM.
The machines can take coins, count notes and
process cheques. Importantly for remote locations, they
can recycle deposited cash for withdrawal.
There is a bit more to the article, but mostly it's about ANZ being wankers, closing down branches.
Sorry I don't know how to paste the article.
