I'll comment on the shorts growing since the issue of the TOL, I'd assume with a massive gap like that, if your a shorter the easy call would be to short the top and cover when it closes the gap or gets down there. Problem is it hasnt done that....... :0
Agree with you on the asending triangle and to add to that the volume drops off when ever the price increases........ :)
