strange charting software bonehead, what are you running?
the ascending triangle pattern is quite noticeable... hopefully it comes off... will need to test the 95c high and break through it...
regarding the shorts: lots of basic trading strategies would be looking for LYC to mean revert to its downtrend... the term 'manipulation' is a bit misplaced imo... it implies some kind of conspiracy to lower the price for a takeover or something, which i dont think is on the cards... when people buy during a dip in the uptrend, its not 'manipulation' but prudent buying... chartist stratergies would ignore the fundamentals (that the TOL was issued) and see the spike in price as a selling opportunity...
