Nice summary @vmp and as more new holders come on board in search of validation and information long time holders along with more technologically literate holders can help them to some extent. There is a wealth of knowledge that has been amassed over the last 5 years which is accessible via company announcements, investor forums and video interviews. Many of us have soaked up every one of these over the years and are well aware of the enormous potential laid out in the near future.
That is why you see long term holders adding to already very large holdings while others sell a few to be free carried as is entirely understandable.
I do believe the BOD have had to dumb down the message due to their target market(ASX) being for the most part less technologically savvy and hence focusing on an easily(one would think) sell-able message of 1000x speed 1000x energy saving 100x durability. Coby has alluded to this lack of technical knowledge a number of times now in video interviews with a knowing smile I might add.
His mentioning of now wanting Israeli and institutional investors signifies a shift by the BOD to wanting a more astute investor base for the expansion of the technology. When a company like XTX approaches WBT to test the chip and comes back after 2 months of a 6 month evaluation wanting to help with development you better take notice!
Make no mistake WBT has performance metrics that will totally disrupt not only the semiconductor memory market, computing as we know it today but also the memory storage market and Artificial Intelligence. Smart investors know what it takes to disrupt a dominant widely used technology(in this case flash) and anytime you have a 1000x 1000x 100x improvement that disruption is assured and swift( reference Toni Seba's Clean Disruption of Transport and Energy for those wanting an education in disruptions).
So what will this 1000x 1000x 100x look like in the real world. We are still 12 to 18 months away from Systems on a Chip IMO but because ReRam has the ability to revolutionize computing architecture we are likely to to see phones, tablets and computers that are supercomputers by today's standards. We are talking blindingly fast devices with terabyte storage that do not get hot and whose battery will last for days. When these devices hit the market they will destroy the competition and ReRam will have an exponential uptake. Make no mistake those companies already partnering or in talks with WBT know this. Now many will say why don't dominate players in the industry see this. Well funnily those in an industry usually don't see the coming disruption. For examples think Tesla in auto and battery storage and Apple, Google(Android) in smartphones. There were plenty of car makers and phone makers that could have lead the way but they did not, disruption came from outside the industry. James Tour invented SiOX Re Ram from outside the semiconductor industry and even though Sandisk funded early development it stopped because it did not believe SiOx ReRam could be done(Oh Dear). Investing in WBT is like investing in Tesla in 2008.
I think we will now see a shift in the message from WBT as to the real difference and complexity of ReRam and what it is really capable of to bring on board the more technologically astute and long term investors this technology deserves. Those holders that have doubts most probably have not done the research they need and in most cases this comes done to work ethic and the ability to think deeply, independently and laterally. This investment and opportunity is available to everyone but only the committed will stay the journey. Strength always comes from knowledge and the gaining of knowledge requires a little effort. If you are committed you will instantly use the ignore function on certain posters as I do. Not doing so and heaven forbid engaging them is a waste of time. Anyone who sells listening to them is not committed which actually helps committed holders top up on pull backs lol. Cruel but true.
