The word is spreading, won’t take too long for people to rearrange their portfolios or finances.
Just the other day I reached out to Commsec which I used some 10 years ago and can’t recall closing my account.
After several screening questions the gent excused himself to talk to his manager and later confirmed the account exists but wouldn’t confirm if I had any holdings - apparently I didn’t meet all the requirements during the screening questions .
In the end he said being overseas that I couldn’t buy stock - I told him I only wanted to sell and if I was waiting this long to buy I may have missed the boat
The purpose of the call was to use the account for depth quotes which are not available on my current o/s platform for foreign markets - only 1 line of quotes.
