Patience is a hard commodity to find these days F8......the announcement of the WBT test team lead in place on site and running prelims at the 200mm fab will catch the weak hands clamoring and changing their tune like the wind - believe the test team is established - the team lead in place and ready to go - imo

SiEn CIDM occupies 400,000 square meters in Qingdao, of which 250,000 square meters will be used for 200mm Fab, maximum monthly production capacity of 60,000 - and 300mm Fab, maximum monthly production capacity of 40,000, the 300 is operational and the 200 running trials presently.

Phase 2 of the project will see an additional two Fabs built with a monthly production capacity of 50,000 and will be targeted at minor processes under 14nm. (seems to fit with wbt's comments about their time horizon for development to those geometries imo if thats where they are intending to transfer too)

Staff levels are up to 300 as of March 2019, with 30% having PhD and Masters’ degree and 48% bachelor’s degree.
The company has started up projects for Microcontrollers, OLED Driver ICs, IoT chips for home appliances, and analog/power
management chips for industrial electronics. (staff levels are currently believed to be at 600 - 800 as of dec 2020)

The company will continue to form partnerships with system companies and chip designers to target an application to develop a chip
to jointly sell to the customer base. Requests are market driven, coming from end users and manufacturers for SiEn to design, develop and produce the wafers for customers’ needs.
The company believes that several global IDMs will partner with it for some new chip designs. ..
