interesting....but totally makes sense. Xeon's are generic multipurpose workhorses, but highly inefficient compared to an ASIC. Considering the size of youtube, I'm surprised they didnt do this sooner.
Interesting to note is they licensed the IP for most parts from other suppliers. This is good news for someone like WBT who is looking for companies to license the IP.
