Someone posted a block diagram of the riscv chip a few posts ago. There is a high voltage sub module in the reram module. Socs, mcus, associated digital logic, in general, and for the most part do not use high voltage. I actually can't think of any instance when I've come acroas this in a memory submodule in a micro. Why is the high voltage block there? My thoughts are that they have found an application specific sweet spot / use case and this is absolutely tailored to a customer. Of course I don't know for sure, but the dots are there, and I'm joining them. Note: embedded systems engineer for the last 15 years.
