In the context of the article that Stoney had posted the link for, the author mentions he was informed there is a direct roadmap down to 10nm. It reads to me as though there is a shift from achievable as you noted to planned/design ready?
I'm probably reading too much into a throwaway comment but like I said, it's the first time I've seen 'direct roadmap' referenced. Happy to be informed otherwise by people who understand the space better.
