That's fine and I get it, but word of warning. I did the same as you and sold at around $1.85ish because it looked grim, and I thought it was going to head down to $1.20 only to see it snap back so quickly and I regretted ever since. So then started buying back at a much higher price. Very frustrating.
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy and it's best to just leave things alone and come back in 6 months.
But if you are relying on this for retirement, then I'd probably say you are leaning a bit on the risky side. Maybe you should treat this stock as something that can be life changing if it comes off to the upside, but not life changing if it drops to the downside.
