to further explain . . for some unknown reason WBTOA has tended to trade at a 50-55c discount to the heads (WBT). when you think there are still 3 1/2 mths to exercise this just doea not make sense. if the options were efficiently priced they should be at a 42-43c discount.
not fin advice but how can you take advantage of this.
lets say you wanted to buy 5000 WBT at market. market is 3.45 so your outlay would be $17,250 excluding brokerage.
what you could do right now is buy 5000 WBTOA = $14,750. you have $2500 in your bank still. next week you will receive an option exercise for saying pls pay 5000 x 45c by 31st jan 2022. if you want gou can pay straight away . . or you can wait 3 1/2 mths. 5000 x 45c = 2250. so total outlay 14750+2250 = 17000. . ..
you have got yoir 5000 wbt for 250 less than if you purchased wbt at market. as mentioned differential can often be double this.
anyway . . this has been my strategy for a long time now. i have more WBTOA than i ever dreamed of so time to make sure others know of this opportunity if they want to buy into WBT.
